About

Welcome to Shit I Had to Learn The Hard Way, a collection of scribbles I've thrown together from a lifetime of having to work things out on my own, and a bunch of experiences I wouldn't recommend.

This is my way of spreading information to the world that I think should really be more accessible and easy to learn. I spend far too much of my days running to google for things that should have easy answers, or looking for advice from people who seem to know less about a subject than I thought.

I think that learning should be fun, and a personal choice. And really, there's not much stuff taught in schools now that helps in the real world. Stuff like how to get a job, what to do if you get arrested, or how to clean something your parents never owned.

I'm a big fan of learning a little bit about a lot of things, and I think some of what I know has been really handy. I used to spend a lot of time being that one friend who could fix a cover letter, or who people would call when they had a problem with their car. It would be dumb to gate keep all that random info.

so, I hope you find something worth reading, and that it helps.
